WhatsApp has launched the most-anticipated and the most-demanded feature called ‘Companion Mode’ that will help users to use one WhatsApp account on up to four devices. According to WABetaInfo, “WhatsApp is now testing the companion mode for mobile phones by enabling the feature for some beta testers!”

Companion Mode to Enable Linking Up to 4 Devices at Once

The companion mode supports the linking of up to four devices, which could be a life changer for someone who does not have their phone on hand at all times. Such users can easily sync their accounts with multiple devices to continue using the service without any disruptions. “Note that you can link up to 4 devices at once so you may also link more than two mobile phones to your WhatsApp account,” reads the blog post.

According to the screenshot shared by the WABetainfo, the users can easily link their accounts with a secondary device. After linking the WhatsApp account to a new mobile phone, the chat history of the parent account will be synced across all the linked devices. The new feature is available for all users who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update on the Play Store and it is rolling out to more users over the coming weeks.

WhatsApp Communities

Recently, Mark Zuckerberg announced the WhatsApp communities feature which is basically a super-groups that can unite multiple groups and users over one topic. Once you’re in a community, you can easily switch between available groups to get the information you need, when you need it, and admins can send important updates to everyone in the Community. According to a statement; “Communities like neighborhoods, parents at a school, and workplaces can now connect multiple groups together under one umbrella to organize group conversations on WhatsApp.”
