On Monday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government launched the ‘Flood Reporting App’ in order to provide quick relief to people affected by devastating floods. The mobile application, Flood Reporting App was launched on special instructions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Science and Information Technology Atif Khan.

 

Flood Reporting App Can be Used by the Victims to Request Any Assistance

 

In a message, the minister of KP government said that the flood victims will be able to report needed assistance such as medicine or food through the Flood Reporting App. He said that the concerned departments and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) will ensure the provision of immediate relief to the affected victims. The Flood Reporting App contains a complete system for accessing relief to victims and monitoring feedback. 

 

In the video, the KP government’s minister explains that the Flood Reporting App was created within a day and flood victims can use it to request any assistance. Victims can send a message or a picture through the app, which will automatically be sent to all deputy commissioners within the area as well as the PDMA.

 

The New App is Currently Compatible with Android Phones 

 

Users will not need to explain their location as the authorities will be able to find them as soon as they send a message. After that, they will try to provide assistance as soon as possible. The KP flood reporting app is available on this website. It is only compatible with Android phones and the website shows you how it works and how to download it.
