3G 4G users

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTA has revealed that the number of 3G/4G users has increased in November as compared to October. The count recorded is 74.33 million.

Jazz 3G/4G users:

3G users count has been recorded as 12.047 million by the end of November compared to 12.255 million by the end of October for Jazz, with a slight decrease of 0.208 million. Whereas, Jazz 4G users are said to be 14.505 million by the end of November 2019 as compared to 13.821 million found in October.

Zong 3G/4G users:

Zong faced a decrement in the number of 3G users as the count went down from 7.751 by end of October to 7.633 million by the end of November. Whereas a rise in the number of 4G users was recorded from 14.221 million by the end of October to 14.702 million by the end of November. 

Telenor 3G/4G users:

Telenor has also recorded a decrement in 3g users count as the users’ count went down from 8.032 million by the end of October to 7.432 million by the end of November. Whereas the number of 4G users increased from 8.052 million by the end of October to 8.432 million by the end of November. 

Ufone 3G/4G users:

Ufone 3G users’ count decreased from 6.695 million by the end of October to 6.454 million by the end of November. Whereas the number of 4G users increased from 2.430 million by the end of October to 2.628 million by the end of November. 

Complaint and Teledensity:

Teledensity for cellular phones was recorded to be 77%. Whereas the broadband subscribers reached 76.38 million by the end of November compared to 75.30 million by the end of October 2019.

PTA got 6986 complaints from telecom consumers against different telecom operators including (cellular operators, PTCL, LDIs, WLL operators, and ISPs) as of November 2019.

According to PTA, it got hold of 99% of the problems.

The majority of the complaints were of telecom subscribers, the ones using cellular phones. The count of CMOs was measured to be 5980.

Other than that,  

  •  2492 complaints were registered against the Zong network. Which comprises 41.67% of CMO-based complaints.
  • Telenor is said to have the second-largest number of subscribers. The number of complaints recorded against this network was 1576.
  • Zong was found to be third with 1047 complaints i.e. 17.50 percent of total complaints.
  • Ufone had 865 complaints against its various services which make up 14.46 percent of the total CMO-related complaints.

PTA also got 345 complaints upon basic telephony where 341 were marked during November 2019. Further 642 complaints were received against ISPs where 635 were addressed.
