The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new mobile app – Rahbar – to facilitate citizens. The app will help the users find the nearest and quickest NADRA center and let them do much more with just a few clicks. NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik, said, “With the Rahbar app, the citizens can now make a well-informed decision about visiting any NADRA centre, keeping in view the location, distance, number of applicants-in-waiting, and average processing time through their mobile phones.”

Rahbar App and its Various Functions

The Rahbar App will show the location of the nearby Mobile Registration Van along with the registration office; it will display the offices in a list view as well as on a map. It also comprises filters to sort the centers based on; female-only centers, 24/7 NADRA centers, and regular and executive NADRA centers.

The app will also refresh after every three minutes to update the data, and it is designed in both Urdu and English language to facilitate Pakistani citizens. Tariq Malik said, “Rahbar Mobile App will ensure convenience and auto-facilitation for a common citizen along with cementing the direct partnership between NADRA services and the society as a whole.”

Transparency and Accountability

The digital initiative aims to convert NADRA offices into citizen service centers, rather than only registration centers. The digital revolution will give citizens the authority to see NADRA’s services from the public eye, which will also hold the authority accountable and transparent before the people of Pakistan. “Rahbar Mobile App will ensure convenience and auto-facilitation for a common citizen along with cementing the direct partnership between NADRA services and the society as a whole,” said NADRA Chairman.
