Syed Amin Ul Haque inaugurated the ‘AI Based Career Counseling Portal’ for the guidance of young IT students who, most of the time, seem clueless about their career path.

The Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque inaugurated the ‘AI Based Career Counseling Portal’ for the guidance of young IT students who, most of the time, seem clueless about their career path. Syed Amin Ul Haque said that the youth of Pakistan are precious assets, and it was vital to provide comprehensive guidance to them.

Function of AI-Based Career Counseling Portal

The AI Based Career Counseling Portal, developed by the Pakistan Software Export Board, aims to provide career counseling to IT professionals. Talking at the inaugural ceremony, the IT Minister said that young people choosing the IT field often do not know which field is beneficial for them. He said the portal would make it easier for the youth to make career decisions and find employment.

In partnership with Botnostic Solutions, the portal will provide artificial intelligence-powered career compatibility solutions for students who are skeptical about their careers. Amin Ul Haque was of the view that the youth of Pakistan is a precious asset, and it is vital to provide comprehensive guidance to them for adopting excellent careers.

Career Counselling is the Need of the Hour

In urban areas of Pakistan, there is no concept of career counseling, and students end up choosing a field that will pay them more rather than going for something that interests them. Using this portal, the local and international IT industry will also be able to find suitable candidates. The IT Minister said, “We strive for Pakistan to get a fair share of the global ICT industry worth trillions of dollars. This dream will be fulfilled only when we can guide our youth in the right direction.”
