National Savings has launched Shariah-compliant products for investors. These will be in the form of savings and 1, 3, and 5-year term accounts

The core business application of the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) suffers an interruption in services due to a firewall failure. Due to the unavailability of the CDNS Business App on Monday the daily business operations were disturbed. However, CDNS took up the matter with the service providers dealing with the application for immediate resolution of the issue.

CDNS Business App Outage is Fixed by Installing a New Firewall

The Director General of the Central Directorate of National Savings, Hamid Raza Khalid, said that the CDNS Business App issue has been resolved by installing a new firewall. The tweet reads; “The issue has been resolved now and a new firewall has been installed.” He further added; “All systems are now fully functional. ATM and Debit card operations are also fully functional, and our valued clients can perform ATM, POS, and Debit transactions through CDNS Debit cards.”

Due to the inconvenience faced by the customers, the CDNS has instructed its field offices to extend their working hours for tomorrow to overcome the problems faced by the investors. As the Director General said; “To facilitate the investors who were deprived of the services today, CDNS has issued instructions to all of its branches to work till late hours tomorrow. Inconvenience caused to the valued customers is highly regretted in this regard.”

Hamid Raza Requests People to Support the Transition

In response to a tweet, the Director General of CDNS said that he wants people to co-operate with them by supporting the transition phase so they can witness a significant improvement in the services. He said; “Being Public Servants, we intend to serve all of you in a much better way and up to your satisfaction. Also, we have a clear-cut timeline for these improvements, and it will not take indefinite time. During this transition, we need your support, as change management is always challenging. I can assure you that once these new initiatives are fully implemented, you will see a significant improvement in our working and service delivery.”
