Youngest award

Umair Masood, 21 year old student of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Abbottabad Campus made entire nation proud by achieving Young Scientist Award 2021 at an international conference. The conference included 121 students participated from all around the word.

Masood participated in seventh annual conference held in Australia earlier this month and displayed his exceptional talent in the field of Molecular Diagnostic Techniques, as reported by BBC news.

Masood prepared two research paper for the International Conference on Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in Australia and the 13th International Conference on Tissue and Regenerative Medicine in the United States.

His research paper included clear view about how people can detect hereditary diseases in an efficient manner, while the genes of any living thing can be obtained and transmitted to another.

Thanks to Allah, the Almighty, and my parents that I could secure this highly prestigious award for my contribution to the field of biotechnology,” he said

Masood mentioned he came from Havelian district of Abbottabad and won award among 121 participants from all around the globe by 336 votes. Second and third position were secured by participants from  Israel and Germany bearing vote count of 264 and 164 respectively, he added.

The young scientist was denied admission to various Pakistani universities for a year due to low grades in Matriculation and FSc, is now the winner of Young Scientist Award 2021 making the entire nation proud.
