Some people around the world are stuck with their old phones, and they love them so much that they never want to change it. However, there’s bad news for those people because it might be possible that if your Samsung phone is more than eight years old, then the users won’t be able to enjoy the features of WhatsApp anymore. The parent company of messaging app has released a list of 7 Samsung smartphones that will stop working in 2023.
List of 7 Samsung Smartphones that WhatsApp Will No Longer Support
The instant messaging platform ends support of several smartphones by the end of the year, and this year is no different. The app is ending support for nearly seven Samsung smartphones on 31st December, which means that after this date, users of the below-mentioned Samsung devices will no longer get updates – including new features and security updates – from WhatsApp, and eventually, the service will stop working for them in 2023.
The list of seven Samsung smartphones includes:
- Samsung Galaxy Ace 2
- Samsung Galaxy Core
- Samsung Galaxy S2
- Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini
- Samsung Galaxy Trend II
- Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite
- Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2
All these devices were updated to Android 4.x, their last major Android OS update. So, if your work mode includes a major chunk of WhatsApp and you are using one of the models mentioned above, then it’s time to change the phone that’s running at least Android 5.0.
