A new era is dawning for Indian influencers on Twitter as they unlock the potential for monetization through Elon Musk's innovative venture.

Twitter Support announced that its android app users can now also enjoy the ability to share tweets directly on Instagram or Snapchat, just like its iOS alternative. The tweet reads; “We enjoyed the Tweet. Now everyone should enjoy it too. Sharing a Tweet directly to Snapchat and Instagram Stories is now available on Android (already on iOS!)”

Sharing Tweets Directly to Help Reduce Clutter

The ability to share tweets directly was first introduced on iOS in 2021, where users can directly share the tweets to Insta or Snap hence avoiding the useless clutter that appears on the smartphone when the user takes a screenshot of the tweet in rider to post it to other social platforms.

Users who have updated to the latest version of the android can simply click on the share button, then tap on the Instagram icon, to share a tweet to their Instagram Stories and the same process goes for Snap Stories as well. Moreover, Twitter has also added support for LinkedIn sharing for both Android and iOS users.

Twitter is Testing a ‘Share to WhatsApp’ Button

Twitter is also testing a new way to share tweets on WhatsApp by using a dedicated ‘Share to WhatsApp’ Button. Given its popularity, the feature is currently under testing in India as the messaging app has more than 400 million users in the country, and it is one of the most used apps to share content with friends and family. Shirish Andhare, director and product head, Twitter India said; “We are rolling out a new experiment exclusively in India – an important market for us. We are replacing the share icon on Tweets with the WhatsApp icon for the majority of people who use Twitter on Android in the country, so sharing their favourite or noteworthy Tweets is easy even beyond Twitter, making the experience more open, accessible, and holistic for them.”
