The National Information Technology Board (NITB) has developed a customized, user-friendly, and innovative automated water billing portal for the ease of Azad Jammu and Kashmir residents. The automated water billing portal is made in collaboration with the Directorate of Revenue Public Health Engineering Azad Kashmir. NITB said in a Twitter post; “NITB automated water billing procedure. NITB developed a customized, user friendly, innovative solution to ease the citizens of AJK in collaboration with Directorate of Revenue Public Health Engineering Azad Kashmir.”

Automated Water Billing System to Help People Apply for Water Connection

The Directorate of Revenue Public Health Engineering Azad Kashmir has been handed over the software free of cost by PITB. The automated water billing system will help people to apply for a water connection and at the same time, the citizens can also register their concerns or complaints using the portal. This initiative is also going to support paperless billing as the portal will be utilized for the purpose.

Asif Mehmood, Director of Azad Kashmir’s Department of Revenue and Public Health Engineering said that the 20 million revised PC-1 has been sent to the AJK government for the procurement of hardware. He further added that with the available funds the system will be up and running in Mirpur in two or three months. Once the PC-1 is approved, the system will be implemented across all areas of AJK.

NITB Develops City Islamabad App

The NITB has developed a mobile application for the citizens of Islamabad. The app offers a wide range of public services, tools, and features for the citizens to improve the quality of their life, such as ICT services, e-Police, Excise and Taxation, CDA, e-NADRA, notifications, City guide, Utility Bills, and other valuable services.
