create a poll

Meta-owned, WhatsApp is apparently working on an impressive new feature. The instant messaging app is now planning to bring a ‘create a poll’ feature that will allow users to start and take polls in the group chats. According to a WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp will soon allow users to type poll questions to send to a group chat. This feature is already available in rival chat app Telegram and even Twitter, which allows users create polls and let others vote and see the results as well.

WhatsApp’s New Create a Poll Feature is Currently in Beta Testing

Now, it appears that WhatsApp intends on rolling out the create a poll feature to its userbase too since it is currently in development. Moreover, the report also shared a screenshot, which basically showcases the “Create Poll” feature on iOS. This was spotted on the apps v2.22.6.70 beta and is currently not open to all beta testers of right now.  Furthermore, while the create a poll option is visible, it is still unclear as to how users would be able to write a question for the poll or even any means through which it can be customized. Furthermore, it may even propose group members a chance to choose more than one answer on the poll.
