In recent news, three students from Pakistan have emerged as the champions of the Middle East tech competition, winning the top spots. This victory is another proud moment for the country. The winning students from Pakistan include Satesh Kumar, Bhagchand Meghwar, and Syeda Iqra Fatima. They took part in the ICT Competition Middle East 2021 in Riyadh and managed to claim top spots.

Moreover, winners of the Middle East tech competition, Satesh Kumar and Bhagchand Meghwar are students of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), while Syeda Iqra Fatima is a student at Islamia University Bahawalpur. The ICT contest was arranged by the Ministry of Communications and IT (KSA) in collaboration with Huawei Middle East.

 

In addition to this, Dr. Faheem Yar Khuhawar, an associate professor at MUET, the Pakistani team exceeded in every stage of the selection procedure and took first and second place in the grand final in Riyadh.

 

Routing and switching, security, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, wireless LAN, and 5G are incorporated in the Middle East tech competition, the students are provided with initial roundups and training before the competition. Many leading educational institutes participated in the Middle East 2021 ICT competition. 

 

Saudi Arabia’s Pakistan Embassy Congratulated the Winners

 

Meanwhile, the Pakistani embassy in Kingdom also congratulated the winning students from Pakistan. “Many Congratulations to Pakistani students for winning 1st and 2nd prizes in Huawei Competition for Communications & Information Technology Middle East 2021 held in Riyadh today, organized by the Ministry of Communications and IT, KSA in partnership with Huawei Middle East,” the tweet reads.

 

Nearly 15,000 students participated in the Middle East tech competition and only 13 teams from 10 different countries made their way into the final round in Riyadh. All teams had to take a written test and conduct a lab task to manage network problems in the final round.
