Indian media reports are buzzing with speculation that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is in early talks to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), stirring excitement among fans and insiders alike. While no official confirmation has been made, the rumor—originating from a widely-followed X account ‘MarvelLeaks22’—has gained traction.

According to Times of India and other local outlets, ‘MarvelLeaks22’ is being touted as a credible source for Marvel-related updates, and their post has triggered widespread speculation. The page made it clear that Khan will not appear in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, but hinted at a different Marvel project that might feature the Bollywood legend.

Fueling these reports, Marvel star Anthony Mackie—currently playing Captain America—expressed admiration for Khan earlier this year. In an interview, Mackie named Shah Rukh Khan as his top pick from Bollywood to join the MCU, calling him “the damn best.” This endorsement added credibility to the idea that Marvel may seriously be considering the Indian icon.

Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Strange, has also previously spoken highly of Khan, praising his global influence and entertainment legacy. Moreover, Marvel had already paid subtle tribute to him in the Ms. Marvel series by featuring his iconic song ‘Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera’—a nod to his cultural impact.

Though Shah Rukh Khan has never officially stepped into a Hollywood role, his global fanbase, unmatched charisma, and box office dominance make him an ideal fit for Marvel’s increasingly international lineup. With no statements yet from Marvel Studios or Khan’s representatives, fans are left speculating. Still, the prospect of Shah Rukh Khan to join Marvel Cinematic Universe has already sparked a wave of anticipation around the world.
