Popular YouTuber Rajab Butt and four associates, including his cousin Salman Haider, have been named in a rape and blackmail case filed by a female social activist. The complaint, now formalized through an FIR at Nawab Town Police Station, outlines a harrowing tale of betrayal, sexual assault, and intimidation.
Rajab Butt Story: A Disturbing Twist in a Digital Friendship
The complainant, a social media activist herself, alleged that her connection with Salman Haider began through online platforms and gradually evolved into regular real-world meetups. However, what began as a seemingly innocent friendship took a horrific turn on August 16, 2024, when she was invited to Haider’s residence in Bahria Orchard.
Trusting him, she accepted the invitation — a decision that would haunt her. Once inside, Haider reportedly offered her a drink laced with an intoxicant. The woman says she lost consciousness shortly after consuming the beverage. Upon waking, she found her shirt unbuttoned, her body violated, and her trust shattered.
Initially silent due to fear of societal backlash, the survivor chose not to report the crime or confide in her family. However, the trauma deepened when Haider began blackmailing her with an explicit video, recorded secretly during the assault. The video was even sent to her sister, Palwasha, as a threat — a move that pushed both sisters to confront the alleged perpetrator.
Allegations of Confinement, Threats, and Forced Expulsion
Their confrontation at Haider’s home turned nightmarish. The FIR states that Rajab Butt, along with Man Dogar, Jawad Haider, and Jahangir Butt, were present during the confrontation. Rather than de-escalate, they allegedly escalated the situation.
According to the complainant, the sisters were forcibly confined in a locked room, their mobile phones were seized and reset, and they were threatened before being thrown out. The role of Rajab Butt, a widely recognized content creator, has drawn particular scrutiny. He is alleged to have aided in the unlawful detention, raising questions about his involvement and prior conduct.
This is not the first time Rajab Butt has faced controversy. Just a few months earlier, in May, he was caught on camera apparently assaulting a young man along with his friends. While that incident ended with a public apology and withdrawal of the case, critics now see it as a warning sign that went unheeded.

Despite the serious nature of the allegations, including rape, blackmail, and illegal confinement, no arrests have been made. The lack of swift action has triggered outrage among netizens and activists alike, who are demanding accountability and justice.
