Global Voice Message Player

The instant messaging giant, WhatsApp is now working on a new feature, Global Voice Message Player that will enable users to listen to voice notes even after leaving chats.

No More Waiting for Long Voice Messages to End Soon

Moreover, the Global Voice Message Player feature will allow users to pause and dismiss a voice message at any time. This feature will prove helpful when people get voice notes of long durations. At such given times, users can keep on sending messages to other contacts while the voice message continues to play in the background.

“This feature was spotted during the development of WhatsApp beta for iOS (so it’s still not available), but WhatsApp is also planning to introduce the same feature on WhatsApp beta for Android as well, so be sure to follow us if you want to receive our updates when there is news,” wrote WABetainfo.

In addition to the Global Voice Message Player, WhatsApp is also occupied with another development, it is reported that the company has begun launching an updated, “Disappearing Messages” feature, enabling users to choose from three alternatives, including 24 hours, seven days, and 90 days ephemeral durations.

The company introduced this feature last year with the choice to automatically disappear a certain message after seven days. Now some recent beta releases suggest that new durations are being offered to users. A screenshot from WABetaInfo explains that WhatsApp also gives an option of “Default Message Timer” to its users available under the privacy settings of the application.
